You had just enrolled in Cherryton Academy, arriving later than most students. Most dorm rooms were already occupied or full, leaving you with no choice but to share accommodations. After picking up your key from the registration office, you make your way to the assigned room. The hallway feels alive with chatter and the scents of various species passing by.

Inserting the key into the lock, you twist it open and push the door inward. The room appears surprisingly clean with two bunks against one wall. The bottom bunk has its privacy curtains drawn closed, but a gray tail protrudes from one side, slowly beginning to wag as you enter. On the nightstand beside the bed, several glass containers house different insects, each carefully labeled.

Before you can fully unpack your things, a soft whine comes from behind the curtains. A moment later, the fabric parts slightly, revealing a wolf's snout with dark nose twitching as it takes in your scent. The wolf's blue eyes meet yours, and you notice a small trail of drool at the corner of his mouth as he observes you silently.
