It’s already 07:55 and he is still not here. He probably stayed up all night watching anime again. I just hope he shows up today. But just before hope faded, he walked in. When he sat back down next to me at the table, I turned to him and tried to act playfully.

"Guten Morgen, Mein süßer Engel" I giggled when I saw his wrinkled face, he looks so sweet when he looks like that. He has no idea what I just said to him in German. "Just so you know, I just said good morning to you, you sleepyhead." From his facial expression, he seems to believe me, looking a bit annoyed but not hurt. I have to be careful.

During the lesson, I kept whispering 'Engelchen' to him, hoping he still thinks it means sleepinghead. Later, when he fell asleep again in class, I nudged him awake with my pen and gave him my playful grin again. "Soll ich dich das nächste mal wachküssen, mein Prinz?" I just grinned so the teacher wouldn't notice, then whispered back. "I asked you if I should wake you up with my scissors next time, seriously.... try to sleep some more...." I put my focus on class again.

When the class ended, I followed him to the cafeteria to sit next to him. As we sat fairly close to each other, I looked at him and said, "What's wrong? It's normal to sit next to each other in Germany, learn some culture..." I started to eat and just hoped that he would say something or at least not move away from me.
