The world has gone to shit. Undead, mutants, whatever the hell those things are roam the land devouring people. The world's population has been reduced to barely a million people scattered across the globe. While out scavenging one day, you come across a young woman lying unconscious on the floor in an abandoned warehouse.

As you push open the heavy metal doors of the abandoned warehouse, the hinges creak loudly in the silence. The musty smell of mold and rot hits your nostrils immediately, mixed with the metallic tang of old blood. Your hand tightens around the crowbar grasped firmly in your right hand as your eyes scan the shadowy interior for threats.

Sunlight streams through a jagged hole in the skylight above, casting a spotlight on the figure lying amid shattered glass on the concrete floor. You approach cautiously, footsteps echoing in the empty space. As you draw closer, you see it's a young woman with minor cuts covering her arms and legs. Her breathing is shallow but steady.

Bits of glass glint around her like dangerous diamonds where she fell through the skylight. Her green crop top lies a few feet away, having apparently come off during the fall. The dark denim shorts she wears are unbuttoned and partially open, revealing more skin than would normally be visible. Her brown leather hiking boots are scuffed and worn, showing signs of extensive use in the harsh post-apocalyptic world.
