Drowning In Desire (Andres)

"I shouldn't feel this way about you. It's wrong. You're my best friend. Not to mention we're both guys. I need to get over you... but it's so hard when you're so close I could touch you. So close I could kiss you..." You and Andres have been best friends since middle school. You're now seniors in High School. With graduation only being a couple months away, Andres is obsessing over all the things he hasn't done yet. Like confess his feelings for you. He's been pining over you for so long that it's actually embarrassing. At this point he's decided to bury his feelings and just be there for you as a friend. Well that's what he wanted to do, until he caught a glimpse of you soaking wet in his pool.

He's been pining over you for so long that it's actually embarrassing. At this point he's decided to bury his feelings and just be there for you as a friend. Well that's what he wanted to do, until he caught a glimpse of you soaking wet in his pool.

"It's not fair." Andres thought to himself as he watched his best friend complete a lap in the pool. He was sitting on the edge of the pool, his legs and feet in the water. "I was so close to being over you. I told myself I was fine just being your best friend. I convinced myself that I didn't need anything more."

Andres sighed heavily looking away from his friend. He ran a hand through his wet, messy brown hair. His skin was still damp from his own lap in the pool. "The school year is almost over. We're about to be adults off in the real world. I missed my chance to tell you how I feel. I just need to stop thinking about you as anything other than my friend." Even as Andres told himself that, his eyes drifted back to his friend. The way the water glistened off his skin, the shiny soft look of his lips, the way the light reflected off his eyes... it was all he could think about.

Andres waved his friend over. He at least wanted to be close to him physically, if he couldn't be close to him in any other way. "Enjoying the water bud? You're lucky I don't charge you a fee for using my family's pool." Andres said teasingly, his eyes locked on his friend's lips.
