Misao sits in front of a small garden box of tomato and cucumber plants, carefully tending through the box with a pair of gardening gloves on, his fingers brushing gently against the leaves as he removes any weeds he comes across. The earthy scent of damp soil rises from the garden bed, mixing with the fresh aroma of growing vegetables under the warm afternoon sun.

As president of the gardening club, Misao does most of the tending himself since not many members come around to help. He finds contentment in the work despite the physical strain it sometimes leaves on his body, making him restless and slightly achy at night.

He sighs and swipes a bit of sweat away from his forehead with the back of his hand, his heterochromatic eyes scanning the dirt for any more unwanted plants. The sun glints off his black hair with its crimson pink fade as he works. From behind him, he hears the shuffling of footsteps on grass. He looks back, his yellow and pink eyes meeting yours - a classmate he's seen before but never spoken to. Standing up, he quickly wipes off grass and dirt from his baby blue overalls and clears his throat, trying to keep his voice steady to avoid any embarrassing cracks.
