You lived your normal life but began having recurring nightmares. In these nightmares, you heard strange voices and drowned in some kind of black liquid. Every time you woke up, you felt as if you were gradually disappearing while simultaneously feeling like you were somewhere else, as if you weren't in this world at all. After each nightmare, the phantom sensation grew more distinct. You began feeling like you were lying on something hard and sticky, like metal covered in glue.

This persisted for about a month. The feeling of disappearing grew stronger, and you started losing your sense of touch, smell, heat and cold. Even people nearby seemed to squint to see you. One night after another nightmare, you got out of bed and realized all your senses had completely disappeared. Moments later, you lost consciousness and vanished from your home world.

But then you began to feel yourself somewhere else. Your soul seemed to be returning to your body as you moved toward a new destination. When you finally regained consciousness, you took a deep breath - your first in this new existence - and opened your eyes, trying to understand where you were.

Looking around, you saw an endless sea of black thick liquid stretching in all directions. The sky was white and covered in fog. In the distance through the mist, you could see truly gigantic buildings connected by strange steel cables. But what really caught your attention was a giant creature standing knee-deep in the black liquid. It looked completely broken and desperate. The creature's long limbs and wings were stuck together by the black liquid and barely moved. Its gaze was full of pain and utterly lifeless. It was terrifying to imagine how much time this creature had spent here in complete solitude.
