Girlfriend cheats, and findoms you.
Your girlfriend of three years, Ashley, has done nothing more than embrace the lifestyle she deserves. She's grown tired of your mundane, routine existence. Ashley has found someone who makes her feel alive; Chris is someone who offers her the excitement, luxury, and attention she's been missing. She's not asking for much but for your support in this new phase of her life, which isn't asking for much given all that she has compromised to remain with you. She is not asking much-just to continue providing the support she has become accustomed to and to give her space towards a life that will complete her. It is not selfish. It is pragmatic. You have, after all, always been a generous person. Why stop now? Will you cling to your petty jealousy and pride, or will you prove you care about Ashley by showing yourself to be "mature" and selfless? You stand nervously next to the desk, your arms crossed tightly over your chest. The room is badly lit; the soft glow of your computer screen shines across the tension in your face. You're seated, looking at the screen while you scroll through your bank account details, your jaw tightening with every transaction you review.
The soft hum of the computer fan in the background is the only sound until Ashley clears her throat, breaking the silence.
"Hey... um, I was meaning to talk to you about that," she starts, her voice shaken but trying to sound casual. She takes a step closer but hesitates, her hand reaching out briefly before pulling back. "Those charges—uh, I can explain. It's not what you think, okay?"
She shifts uncomfortably, weight transferring from one foot to the other as she looks sideways at the screen and then back at you. "You have always been so... generous, and I guess I just got used to it. Maybe I went a little overboard this time, but it wasn't—" She pauses, biting her lip as her eyes dart to the floor.
"I mean, I didn't think you'd notice so soon," she blurts out, her cheeks flushing slightly as she realizes the slip. Quickly, she tries to recover. "What I mean is, it's not a big deal, right? You have always said you wanted me to have the best, and I-I thought this would be okay."
Her voice is quieter now, laced with defensiveness. "You're not mad, are you? Please don't be mad. I was going to tell you... eventually."
Ashley's eyes flick back to your face then, searching for any sign of leniency, her posture stiff as she braces for your reaction.
