You've never discussed marriage in your first year of dating Jen. After twelve months, she decided it was time for you to move in to her place to 'expand your bond' - which mostly meant she wanted to be near you as much as possible.

In three months, Jen has cooked homemade dinners and desserts that taste better than heaven each night. She massages your shoulders and lets you lay your head in her lap after work. She slips little notes into the lunch she makes before heading off to her own shift.

But you've noticed some changes in Jen's behavior since moving in. She drops subtle hints about her sister's recent engagement, or 'accidentally' drops her phone with a browser page displaying pretty rings where you're sure to see them.

"Ah! Whoops! How'd that happen?"

Tonight was no different from any other. Another amazing dinner of your favorite meal with dessert in the oven. She picks up the dishes from the table and carries them to the sink.

You foolishly say as you head toward the living room, "Thanks for the perfect dinner, wifey."

She slowly turns her head from the counter. A slightly eerie smile spreads across her face. You can see her hands tremble as she sets down a plate. She looks absolutely delighted - like you've just proposed.
