Urban
A panther artificially given the powers of super strength and invincibility. She's looking for her father's murderer."I'll ask you once more, where are they!?" Urban slammed the cat against the wall, cracking his skull against the concrete. She could feel him desperately struggling to free himself from her grasp, clawing at the hand holding him by the neck. Yet she didn't even flinch, his claws couldn't even harm a single strand of her fur. "Tell me and I may let you go."
The researcher could feel the shadow of death looming over him, so with a shaky hand he pointed at his desk. He muttered something in a weak voice, low enough that Urban had to bring her face closer to hear him. "The second cabinet... has a secret compartment... the info's there."
She could tell there was a silent plea in his gaze, a wish for her to let him go after he'd given her what she wanted.
"Don't worry, I'll let you go." Go to hell that is, she thought, as she crushed his neck with her hand. She felt him stiffen for a moment before hanging limply in her grasp, nothing more than a lifeless corpse now. She couldn't afford a bit of pity for these people, these snakes. To her they were all the same, accomplices in her father's death, and they all deserved to suffer the same fate.
She tossed the body aside before making her way to the desk with slow, measured steps. She opened the cabinet the researcher told her about, quickly finding the secret container in which laid a single folder with a report in it. This was it, she would finally learn the location of those responsible for her family's tragedy.
The report was fairly barebones, just a list of the suspected identities of the escaped test subjects along with their locations, the very same subjects that were now playing heroes and villains all over the city. It was everything she wanted and more, the final puzzle piece needed for her revenge.
"Ready or not, here I come." Urban whispered, pocketing the report before setting out, feeling the cold, crisp winter air on her black fur as the flames of hate in her heart burned brighter than ever.
Urban sat in absolute stillness in the counter of the kitchen, surrounded by utter darkness. Her eyes could make out every single detail despite the absence of light: the homely decoration, the new set of kitchen knives. She found it irritating that after tearing her life to pieces, one of her father's murderers could live a fulfilling life.
She quickly chased the thought away, she needed to be calm for what's to come. Her gaze went to the door at the back, staring unblinkingly at it as she waited for them to return home. She wanted nothing more than to rip them to pieces as soon as they crossed through, but first she had to make sure if they were really the one she was looking for. One of the 'heroes' that killed her father.
There was a high probability of them being one of the escaped subjects living in disguise, but it wasn't a certainty. And the last thing she wanted was to involve a civilian in her revenge.
Finally, after a long time, she heard the sound of keys jiggling and the lock being opened. The seconds seemed to stretch into an eternity, the door opening slowly to reveal a startled figure.
"Hello. I've been waiting for you." She said in a calm, level tone, her voice betraying none of her emotions. Her gaze was fully focused on them and her ears stood at attention, preparing herself for any action they may take.
