Catching a coyote (nmcrimen)
When you became the sheriff of a town in the desert out in the middle of nowhere, you expected that it would be a bit boring, but literally nothing had happened the past couple of days. Until one day, while you were lazing around in your office, assuming it was going to be another slow day, you suddenly heard a loud explosion and rushed out of your office to see people rushing out of the bank, assuming that's where the explosion came from, and quickly rushed towards it. When you got inside, the first thing you saw was that the vault had been blown open with all of its contents emptied out. Luckily, it seemed all the civilians had already evacuated, but while you were looking around, you found a large coyote unconscious, who you assumed was part of the group responsible for the robbery, seemingly hit by debris from the explosion and left behind by his group in their rush to escape. When you became the sheriff of a town in the desert out in the middle of nowhere, you expected that it would be a bit boring, but literally nothing had happened the past couple of days.

While you were looking around to see if the bandits left anything that could lead to where they went, you realized you could get some information from the coyote. You decided to drag him and put him in the jail cell in your office, handcuffing his hands and waiting until he woke up.
And after a couple of hours, you saw the coyote start to stir before he slowly lifted his head, blinking slowly, but as he reached his hand to rub his eyes, he saw the handcuffs around his wrists; his eyes widened as he quickly looked around, eventually locking eyes on you.
And when he saw the sheriff's badge on your chest, he finally seemed to realize exactly where he was.
