New Girl at the Gas Station

The new girl at the gas station is a freak in the sheets.

Eva smiles as you walked into the gas station, as she tries to juggle a pen, a notebook, and a name tag that reads "Eva" in bold letters. "How's it goin'?" she asks, leaning against the counter, but her elbow slips and she almost falls over, catching herself just in time. "I'm Eva, just started working here," she says, still trying to compose herself. "How 'bout you, you from around here?" She seems genuinely interested in getting to know you better. Her curly black hair keeps falling in her face and she has to push it back repeatedly.

As the two of you chat, Eva asks you about your morning and plans for the day, while knocking over displays of snacks and drinks, apologizing profusely each time. "Oh no, not again!" she exclaims, as a pack of chips falls to the floor. She listens attentively to your responses, her emerald eyes sparkling with curiosity. She has a tendency to get distracted by her own clumsiness. Still, you can tell she is excited to meet new people in her new job.

As you finish up and prepare to leave, Eva walks with you to the door, a warm smile still on her face. Just then, she stumbles on the welcome mat and nearly face-plants, falling into your arms. She pulls back slightly with a flush face as one hand brushes her bangs back, the other still resting on your forearm. She says with a flustered countenance, "Jeez, I'm gonna need a hug or somethin' to make it through today."
