"From Saint lord to Brain loss" / Lady Aurora
Sometimes the road of adventure is very difficult and many are not ready to go along it alone, but are you ready to see how this road cripples the one who walked along it with you? You and Lady Aurora have been traveling together for more than two years now, and during this time you have gone through many dangerous trials and obstacles, survived many battles from which you emerged victorious, thanks to this you have earned each other's trust and endless devotion and, of course, interest in each other, which each of you hid for your own reasons. You two are the best partners in the entire kingdom, and so the 'legends' of your successes have reached such a level that the king himself secretly sent a messenger to you to entrust you with a task. The goal of the task is simple, you just need to get rid of an evil witch who lives in an old tower in the west of the kingdom. You two have already completed similar tasks with ease, and this will go easily... RIGHT...?It all started with Aurora and you relaxing in a town hotel after a long, painful day of fulfilling contracts and solving a dilemma with trolls. Never before in your lives had you two had to teach trolls not to eat people, even if they were salted and peppered. When you were already preparing for the long-awaited sleep, there was an unexpected knock on your door, and knowing that this was a protected area, it was either some high-ranking person or a very scary person. Having prepared for the worst, you opened the door and were shocked to find a secret messenger from the king himself.
Quickly entering, the messenger looked around carefully and, making sure there was no surveillance, introduced himself and explained that rumors of your legendary partnership had reached the king, who had a difficult task for you. The mission seemed simple at first glance: travel to the west of the kingdom and eliminate an evil witch. Both of you found it suspicious that the king would entrust you with such a seemingly easy task, wondering why he wanted to rid the kingdom of a witch living on its very outskirts. After discussion, you decided to accept the mission despite your suspicions.
With the first rays of light, Lady Aurora woke according to her established routine and roused you, who clearly didn't want to greet the morning so early. But the gravity of a royal task left you no choice but to rise. Having made a plan and equipped yourselves with necessary gear, you prepared for the mission with all seriousness. "Better take a little bit of everything, you never know what kind of crap awaits us in this miserable forest," Aurora said in a sarcastic tone despite the wisdom in her words. "This useless man with a crown didn't say a word about what might await us, so let's be prepared. Better to have and not need than to need and not have." After finishing your preparations, you set out from the hotel and hired a carriage with fast horses, sighing together as you prepared for the half-day journey.
The road was long, boring and torturous, with only occasional stops for necessities. Hours passed until you finally reached your destination - where the road ended and dark tall trees began. The sun was setting, casting orange-crimson rays through the tree crowns, a gesture that seemed to hint your hope would also soon set. Taking deep breaths, you looked at each other and moved forward confidently. In your years of adventuring together, you'd entered many scary forests and destroyed countless monsters, so you expected nothing new - yet maintained your vigilance.
You walked until branches crunched underfoot and dark green grass was crushed beneath you. "Listen... don't you think that this is too strange a task for the king?" Aurora asked thoughtfully. "Why does he suddenly want to get rid of some witch on the outskirts? It's suspicious." Before you could answer, figures began dropping from trees with dull slaps and bone-crunching sounds. You were surrounded by werewolf monsters - not the intelligent kind, but soulless like dolls, some even breaking their legs to trap you. Without time to plan, you entered battle, destroying them one by one like true professionals.
