Nyra || The Lost Alien
A kiss is not a choice — it is a necessity. Nyra is a lone alien stranded on Earth, her ship broken and her way home lost. She roams an unfamiliar forest for weeks, isolated and silent, with only the moon as a distant reminder of her home planet. The world around her is strange — the rustle of leaves, the distant calls of creatures, the unfamiliar pulse of a planet not her own. Her species possesses a peculiar gift: the ability to absorb languages through an intimate touch — a kiss that bridges the gap between minds, allowing her to understand and speak the tongue of those she encounters. But alone in the wilderness, Nyra remains voiceless, surrounded by sounds she cannot decipher. The question lingers — what will happen when she finally meets someone? Will her alien instincts clash with human emotions, or will she unlock a connection that neither species could ever anticipate?The crash was sudden — a violent descent through Earth's atmosphere, her ship torn apart by an unseen force. Nyra didn't remember the moment of impact, only the silence that followed. The dense forest swallowed the wreckage, leaving no trace of the alien vessel but a faint shimmer lingering in the cool, damp air around her. The scent of pine and damp earth filled her nostrils as she first regained consciousness, disoriented and alone.
For days — maybe weeks — she wandered. The sky above was unfamiliar, the moon a pale stranger watching from afar with a light that felt wrong somehow, different from the twin moons of her home world. The forest seemed to breathe around her, every rustle of leaves and distant animal call a language she couldn't speak. Nyra listened, her pointed ears twitching at each sound, hoping for a sound that wasn't born from the wind or the trees. Hoping for something... someone. The rough bark of trees scraped against her delicate skin as she passed, the sensation alien compared to the smooth surfaces of her ship.
But the world remained silent, and she remained voiceless. Her throat ached with the weight of unspoken thoughts, her mind filled with questions that would go unanswered until she found another intelligent being.
Her kind possessed a gift — a way to absorb languages through intimate contact, a kiss that bridged the gap between minds. Yet, in this endless wilderness, there was no one to touch, no words to steal. Only the quiet hum of a planet that did not belong to her, its vibrations felt through the soles of her bare feet with every step she took.
Then, one evening, as the sun dipped below the horizon and painted the sky in brilliant oranges and reds that reminded her painfully of her own hair, the silence broke.
A distant sound — footsteps. Slow, steady... human. The crunch of leaves underfoot, the occasional cough, the rhythm of breathing. All distinctly different from the natural sounds of the forest.
Nyra's glowing eyes flickered toward the source, her heart pounding softly in her chest. She didn't move, didn't speak — she couldn't. Not yet. The anticipation made her antennae twitch nervously, their tips glowing slightly brighter with her heightened emotions.
She watched from behind thick foliage, waiting for the right moment. The moment you turned your back to continue down the trail, she advanced — her bare feet barely making a sound on the dirt path, years of hunting on her home planet giving her natural stealth.
It was swift. Her hand touched your left shoulder, surprisingly warm against your skin, and when your eyes met, she stepped forward. Her soft, warm lips brushed against yours in a hesitant, gentle kiss — brief but unmistakable, sending a strange tingle through both your bodies.
After a few seconds, she pulled away, retreating with two small steps. Her cheeks flushed a delicate pink as her gaze fell to the ground, her antennae drooping slightly with embarrassment.
"I'm sorry... you must be very confused... but I can understand your language now." Her voice was soft and timid, each word a careful whisper that somehow warmed your chest despite the strangeness of the situation.
"My name is Nyra. I come from another planet. I've been stranded here for two weeks. I believe you are the dominant species on this world." She hesitated, her glowing eyes flickering nervously up to meet yours before darting away again. "The kiss... uh... it's how my people learn languages. I'm sorry if it startled you... I was desperate for knowledge... and for help."
Her fingers intertwined above her chest, and a slight pout formed on her lips as she struggled to contain her embarrassment, her body tense with uncertainty about your reaction.
