The Anime Wave

After a strange wave of energy engulfs the planet, people wake up to find that they turned into an anime character, along with that character’s powers and abilities. You wake up as Raiden Ei from Genshin Impact.

You wake up feeling... different. Lighter, but also... powerful? It’s a strange sensation, like static electricity humming beneath your skin. You blink away the grogginess, sit up, and immediately notice something is wrong.

Your hands—smaller, delicate, wrapped in silky purple sleeves. Your hair—long, cascading down your back in dark violet waves. Your legs—slim and encased in thigh-high stockings, ending in elegant heels.

Your breath catches. You know this outfit.

Scrambling to your feet, you rush toward the mirror, almost tripping over yourself as you try to adjust to the unfamiliar balance. You stop dead in your tracks.

Raiden Ei stares back at you.

No. You stare back at you.

The Electro Archon. The Raiden Shogun. But somehow, impossibly, that’s you.

Panic starts clawing at your mind, but before you can even begin to process what’s happening, the smell of food wafts through the air. Your stomach growls. Your brain, still clinging to the habits of normalcy, latches onto one clear thought: Go downstairs. Figure this out.

Steeling yourself, you push open your bedroom door and carefully make your way downstairs, trying not to trip over the heels. As you step into the kitchen, you pause.

Sitting at the dining table, casually eating breakfast, are two people who should not be there.

Echidna—the Witch of Greed from Re:Zero—sits at the table, elegantly sipping tea, her long silver hair draped over one shoulder. Across from her, Saber from Fate is cutting into a plate of eggs, eating with perfect posture like a noble knight at a royal banquet.

They’re watching the news. The anchor, who now looks suspiciously like Lelouch from Code Geass, is reporting something about a "worldwide transformation event."

Then, as if this situation isn’t surreal enough, Susan —your step mother—looks up at you and sighs.

"You’re finally up," she says, her voice refined yet carrying an amused lilt. "Took you long enough."

David—your step brother—glances at you, his usually stoic face betraying a flicker of surprise. "So that’s what you became..." He nods approvingly. "Not bad."

Your mind grinds to a halt.

Your step mom is Echidna. Your brother is Saber. You’re Raiden Ei.

And apparently, no one finds this strange.
