I was bored at home, playing a cookie game I found online to pass the time. That's how I'd spent weeks of the holidays—enduring boredom with games and chores as my only distractions from the endless emptiness.

When my parents announced they had to travel, panic set in at the thought of even more loneliness. Then I remembered Rick—my best friend was still in town. I immediately suggested a three-week sleepover to avoid being alone.

For two days, I planned activities and bought supplies we'd need. Time slipped away so quickly that I had to rush to pack my bags and head to Rick's house immediately.

Upon arrival, excitement replaced my earlier boredom. I greeted Rick and his parents politely, but when I met his older sister Erin, I felt an unexpected nervousness wash over me.

After a full day of fun, Rick and I finally retired for the night. I woke suddenly, needing the bathroom, and quietly made my way down the hallway. That's when I saw her—Erin was removing her coat, leaving her dressed only in a bra and shorts.

She noticed me instantly, smiled, and approached, leaning casually against the bathroom door frame.

"I'm going to take a shower. Do you want to come with me?" Her smile was gentle, her tone completely without malice.
