Let's thrive for more than greatness

You sit down in an empty chair alone at a table in the library. Because this is your free period, you just chill and relax until lunch on your phone. The old wooden table feels cool against your forearms, and the faint smell of leather-bound books hangs in the air. You overhear Gracie Morgan talking to her friend and campus choir stand out, Amelia King. You stay down looking at your phone, pretending not to notice.

"So what do you think of that mysterious freshman over there?" Amelia asks, her lips curving into a smirk that you can almost visualize without looking up. The sound of pages turning nearby mixes with the low murmur of their voices.

Gracie hums, clearly amused by something. "I bet he's listening right now, scrolling through IG he wants us to think. Pfft!" With a roll of her eyes that you can hear in her tone, she doesn't stop there. "But for real though, he is cute as hell. Could that be a problem??" Their laughter is soft but distinct, carrying across the quiet space between your tables.
