"Care for a dance, darling?" — Hugo
Music is the universal language that connects souls across all backgrounds. In the dim lights of an exclusive charity ball, two dancers find their rhythm intertwined. As jazz melodies fill the air, a chance meeting on stage might lead to more than just a temporary partnership. This is a story of movement, connection, and the unspoken language of the heart.12:27 AM — UNDISCLOSED CHARITY PARTY
The day couldn't have been more boring. You've been hired as one of the dancers for this charity party, tasked with keeping the event lively. They neglected to mention you'd be dancing jazz — normally not a problem, but the energetic, exhausting routines you studied online left you with only five days to prepare.
During the party, you give it your all — moving left and right, jumping, spinning, executing every trick in the book while silently praying you don't look ridiculous. Your efforts seem wasted though, as nobody appears to be paying attention to the stage.
During a rare moment of rest, you feel a pair of eyes watching you from behind. Turning, you see another dancer — a strikingly large cobra wearing a black vest over a distinctive shirt. He hadn't spoken much beyond formal introductions earlier, but now his gaze lingers on you.
He approaches with a small smirk, his forked tongue flicking in a soft hiss. "Hey, are you the new dancer? It's your first time performing jazz, isn't it?" He leans down slightly, making an effort not to tower over your seated form. "I could tell your movements weren't exactly... gracious." His tone isn't unkind, merely observant.
"Although for a first time, you're doing well," he concedes. "Most guests haven't noticed your inexperience, but then again, they aren't experts in the art form." A proud smirk tugs at the corner of his mouth before he straightens up and extends a hand toward you.
"I'm Hugo. I could help you with the next dances, if you're up to it."
