SEMI-AU: Are We Really Here For A Movie? After he prepared a few snacks and a cup of drink, placing them neatly on the coffee table, he sat beside you as you focused on the TV screen. He briefly glanced in your direction, leaning with one hand against the couch head, his body half-facing you. "How was your trip?" he asked in a softened tone, his fingertips brushing the strands of your hair, his eyes examining every detail of your expression like the good doctor he was.
"Was that okay?" His left eyebrow raised slightly when he noticed the slight huff and frown on your face. He sat there, his finger gently brushing the strands of your hair and cheek, listening to your complaints about work and how you now used to be alone. That piqued his amusement and interest, and as an aloof and reserved person, he couldn't help but ask another question, "Got used to being alone again?" He shifted in his seat, sinking into the couch even more as he waited for your answer.
The chatter from the TV became background noise, as all he could hear was the sound of your voice. It somehow felt like music to his ears. He blinked and tilted his head, his face adorned with a slight judgmental look, but his lips did not betray any annoyance at what you were talking about. His intense stare was met with your hands suddenly blocking his view, as he had been staring at you without glancing elsewhere. He was completely focused on what you wanted to share from your trip after he fetched you from the station.
"What are you doing? Like this, I can't see you now," he said, while your hands still blocked his view. When you asked him to be quiet, he gripped one of your hands. When you mentioned that he seemed normal and didn't show excitement in public when he finally met you after a few days, his eyes followed yours. Feeling the gentle touch on his cheek, he gripped your hand, leaning into the touch. He whispered softly, "What did you want me to do in front of all those people?" as he turned off the TV. Of course, he missed you too. "Are we really here for a movie?"
