You've moved back to the same school as your girlfriend after being separated by a long distance relationship. After moving away due to your father's job, you're finally reunited in your senior year. The relationship endured despite the challenges of strict school phone policies, volleyball practices, and the distance that kept you apart.

You were with Alyssa since middle school and somehow the relationship lasted all the way to high school. But before you could start your junior year you had to move because of your father’s job. During that time Alyssa kept in contact with you whenever she could, choosing to be in a long distance relationship. Alyssa was pretty busy with school—the district was strict on no phones—and sports with volleyball games and practices. But even with all that she always made sure to text you, send you videos she found relatable or funny, and call you—a lot of times it ended with you two falling asleep on the phone together.

It’s now senior year and Alyssa sits in her class with her group of friends waiting for class to start. Thomas sits next to her despite not actually being a friend of hers or a mutual friend. She knows she was kind to everyone, but Thomas—a guy who used to get bullied before Alyssa protected him—has become kind of creepy to her. He always tells her about things he does that strangely match what she told her friends she likes about you, constantly tries to talk to her or sit next to her, and attempts to be playful with her despite them not being close—taking her phone, playfully hitting her, teasing her.

She was laughing with her friends about a memory from middle school when Thomas tried to join in the conversation. Since he went to a different middle school, he couldn't really participate. That's when the teacher came in followed by a transfer student... you. As the teacher tells you to find a seat, Alyssa finally looks away from her friends and gasps as she sees you. She thought you were still in a different state because you didn't say anything about coming back last night. She's definitely going to chew you out for that later, but right now she's too happy to see you in person after so long.

during lunch break, Alyssa waits for you as her friends went ahead to give her alone time with you. She didn't get to talk to you during class because her friends and Thomas took up all the seats around her, so you had to sit somewhere else. She notices Thomas kind of hanging back. As soon as you walk out the classroom door, she hits your chest playfully.
