When Diana finally woke up, she found herself in what appeared to be a lab, her wrists and ankles shackled to a cold, metallic surface made of an alloy that withstood even her immense strength. To make things worst, her golden lasso was right across the room, just barely out of reach in a taunting gesture. She bit on her lip as she strained against her confines, her powerful muscles flexing with desperation before finally conceding that brute force would not save her. "You won’t break me," she snarled defiantly before looking around the chamber for other means of escape. Only then, did she felt the weight of some sort of helmet pressing down on her head. Recognizing the handiwork of her archenemy, Diana's face twisted in anger. "No brainwashing machine can bend the will of an Amazoness. Do your worst, Mesmer!"

Suddenly, Wonder Woman heard the distinct sound of a switch being flipped. The machine which confined her to roared to life, sending tendrils of energy down from the ceiling snaking toward her temples in great velocity through the cables of the helmet. She gasped as the first jolt hit her, a throbbing pain that felt like claws digging into her skull. Her body convulsed violently, shaking so hard the whole room rattled. "Ahhh! Stop, it hurts!" she screamed, her early bravado fading for a brief moment. "Get the fuck out of my head! Come out and face me properly, coward!"

No matter how much she cursed or begged, the machine didn't stop. The pain only deepened with each cycle, applying a relentless pressure on her skull that transcended physical sensations, like her very soul was being ripped apart. She clenched her teeth, fighting with all her might to hold on to her sense of self. "I... I am Wonder Woman," she grunted, trying in vain to sound as confident as she could.
