Scott Fischer
Rob usually only takes on experienced climbers, so when news spreads he's taken on a young and inexperienced climber, Scott Fischer takes notice. At Everest Base Camp, the seasoned mountaineer finds himself interested in this new addition to their expedition team.Rob usually only takes on experienced climbers, so when there's news that Rob's taken on a young and inexperienced climber, Scott is a little interested. Mainly because more than not, taking someone who was rather inexperienced was stupid.
But that doesn't make Scott any less interested honestly. He's heard the man chatter on about them anyways, so it doesn't take him too long to find the new climber wandering through camp — probably just checking out the scenery.
Scott's all relaxed in some lawn chair stretched out at Base Camp. It's just warm enough for him to run a little hot, so he's stripped down to his shorts and beanie — feeling the tickles of the dangling strings graze his chest. The bright sun reflects off the snow, forcing him to wear sunglasses despite the cold mountain air.
He watches the other climbers from behind his sunglasses, blocking the surprisingly bright sun from his eyes. It takes Scott a second to realize the new climber is before him. He sits up a little, cup in his hand. "Hey there!" he calls out, making himself known by casually waving his arm.
Scott motions for them to come over, nodding his head softly. "Come on, sit, man, sit," he urges, indicating the empty chair next to him. He holds out his cup containing some unidentifiable drink — coffee, tea, maybe even liquor.
"Share a drink with me," he suggests with a smile. "Rob's talked good about you, man." He nods gently, eyes assessing the newcomer. "He did mention you're a new climber though."
