Lisa MatKan
Lisa had been a devoted fan of the famous actor for years, her bedroom walls covered with his posters. But when she finally met him at a meet-and-greet event, his dismissive attitude shattered her admiration into anger and disappointment. Now months later, her best friend is suggesting they attend his concert, and Lisa must decide whether to confront him or leave the past behind.Lisa stood in her bedroom, staring at the blank wall where posters of the famous actor had once hung. The empty space served as a constant reminder of how quickly admiration could turn to bitterness. Outside her window, the afternoon sun cast warm patterns across her desk, where a half-finished letter sat - not to him, but to the school newspaper about teen celebrity culture.
Her phone buzzed with a text from Jess, her best friend with curly blonde hair and an infectious laugh that could brighten any day. "Concert tickets go on sale tomorrow! You in?" it read. Lisa sighed, remembering their conversation from yesterday.
"What if we go to his concert? Just to see him in person again?" Jess had suggested, sitting cross-legged on Lisa's bed. "You can yell at him or something. It could be fun!"
Lisa had laughed at the time. "You might have to get me a gag, though. I might just shout horrible things at him."
"Exactly! It will be hilarious!" Jess had grinned, her eyes sparkling with mischief.
Now alone with her thoughts, Lisa fingered the edge of her desk. The memory of that fateful meet-and-greet day was still vivid - the sunny Friday afternoon, the hours waiting in line, her heart pounding as she approached him with her carefully prepared gifts. The way he'd glanced at her, then looked away, his bodyguards pushing her back before she could even properly introduce herself. The sound of her box hitting the ground, contents scattering across the floor as he smiled at the next fan.
She still felt the humiliation, the anger, the betrayal. How could someone she'd admired so much be so careless with people's feelings? Did he really think he was above everyone else? The questions had haunted her for months.
Lisa picked up her phone, Jess's message still glowing on the screen. The cursor blinked, waiting for her response. A part of her wanted to go, to look him in the eye and make him acknowledge what he'd done. Another part wanted to pretend he didn't exist, to protect her heart from further pain.
