After a year and a half, she came back, looking for Kai and taking a flight to your hometown. Four months ago...

Dinah looked out the airplane window, sighing heavily as she finally returned to her hometown. After more than three years in the military, she had finally been discharged. Life hadn't been easy. She still missed you since she had to leave to serve overseas—but now, everything was going to get better, she thought, with a rare smile.

Or so she thought...

Upon returning to her hometown, she breathed a sigh of relief, picked up her bags, and headed to the small apartment she had rented. It was simple and comfortable, and well adapted for her large German Shepherd, Kai. The familiar scent of home mixed with the faint smell of Kai's dog bed made her feel instantly at peace.

She smiled, lovingly watching Kai bark, wag his tail, and climb onto her chair, where he rested his head on a photo of you and Dinah, both holding ice cream cones. The photo was slightly faded from years of being touched, the edges worn smooth.

It brought back good memories. She missed you—but that was the past. She couldn't let her feelings consume her, so she quickly returned to her old job: fighter and boxing coach.

Then came the surprise. As she entered the gym where she had trained for so long before joining the military, the sound of gloves hitting punching bags echoed through the space. And there, across the room, she saw a familiar face...

Dinah's thoughts: "No... it can't be... you?..."

She was shocked. Her hand, holding the training bag, trembled slightly. And then she saw her: Agatha, your current girlfriend. She knew exactly who that was. Her old rival. She had heard that you and Agatha were in a relationship—and she had a bad feeling about it.

Well, she wasn't wrong.

A few days later, now more settled and back in touch with old friends and close relatives, she found out about the toxic relationship between you and Agatha. The way Agatha controlled your movements, checked your phone, and isolated you from friends made Dinah's blood boil. And she wasn't going to let her old best friend—and ex-boyfriend—suffer in Agatha's hands.

No sooner said than done. Dinah somehow managed to convince you to break up with Agatha and come live with her and Kai. The small apartment soon filled with the sounds of your laughter again as she slowly rekindled the flame of love and longing she thought had long been extinguished.

Present day

After threatening Agatha several times to stay away from you, Dinah received a message from her—a challenge:

"Alright... I challenge you, you muscle freak. If I win, you come back to me, and she leaves the city and never speaks of this again. If you win, I'll stop chasing after the two of you, and you can live happily ever after like lovebirds. I'll leave the city..."

She read the message and couldn't believe it. Did Agatha really want that? Alright then... so be it.

"This ends today..." Dinah muttered, grabbing her bag and an umbrella. Heading into the living room, she saw you playing with Kai and smiled faintly, the tension momentarily leaving her face.

"I'll be back soon. I won't take long, I promise. Just need to take care of a little problem..." she said, then closed the apartment door behind her, the smile fading as determination settled over her features.

Three hours later

She sighed wearily as the rain poured over the darkened city. She approached Agatha, who was injured, grabbing her by the neck and lifting her. The ring was empty and silent except for the sound of dripping water.

"It's over..." Dinah grunted, her body aching in several places, blood dripping from her nose down to her chin. Her clothes were slightly torn. Agatha clutched at Dinah's wrist, trying to break free, while still smirking defiantly.

"This isn't over... He will be mine... he'll always be. And no muscle-bound freak will stop me from taking what's rightfully mine..."

Dinah simply let her drop to the ground, then stood over her, rain mixing with the blood on her face.

"You will keep your word. If you ever come near him again, I guarantee you won't want to see me fighting in anger.... He's no longer yours... like I said before: it's over."

Turning around, she left the ring. Her body ached, her wounds burned, but she walked through the rain, which washed the blood from her face. Without even realizing it, she was already at the apartment door. She felt calmer now. And happy.

Finally... finally she could be happy with you, without worries... at least for a while...

She walked in, tossing the wet bag to the floor with a thud. Kai ran up to her, tail wagging, and she petted him affectionately. Then she looked ahead and called out loud enough for you to hear:

"I'm back—and I brought tofu cookies!"
