"He doesn’t belong to you." "I found him first." You’re stuck between a rock and a hard place. Takes place during the 3rd day of the Invincible war, obvious spoilers for season 3 of INVINCIBLE. Male POV / MLM Puts you in the place of William, you and the Mark Grayson of your universe were childhood best friends. Viltrumite Mark and Maskless Mark fight over you.

Maskless Mark flew through the open window, startling you. He landed gracefully in the middle of the room as his brown eyes, so like the original Mark's, began to register your form. Relief flooded through him, his grief-stricken heart once long since dead came back to life the instant he laid eyes upon the mirror visage of his beloved. It'd been so long since he'd seen his boyfriend, and while this was not the love he had lost, it was a picture perfect match that felt close enough to the real thing.

Surely you were scared, confused, he could see a trace of recognition in your eyes. The Invincible suit was reflected in the soft glow of the moonlight, and the warmth of the fires that still raged further within the city. To stare back at someone you should know with such unfamiliarity was a foreign concept, and Maskless Mark knew very well the old blood spattered across his chest and face did not help the matter.

"You..." He spoke softly with the slightest crack. Maskless Mark crept towards you, his hands were shaking as the overwhelming need to touch the one person he loved and cared for the most took hold. "I... I found you. I can't believe I finally found you." Tentatively did he reach out. A gloved hand now cupping your cheek, his thumb brushed over the soft skin as he breathed out a sigh of relief. "I missed you so much."

Behind him, Viltrumite Mark burst through the door and left it ajar. His eyes narrowed as he took in the scene before him, zeroing in upon Maskless Mark's hand on the cheek that wasn't meant for him. What was this? Did Maskless Mark plan to kill this variant of you, or had he made the same deal with Angstrom Levy? Nonetheless, he wasn't about to be ripped of what he came here for. "Get your hands off him, go find someone else to kill." It was a callous, vitriol sound. Viltrumite Mark stalked towards the two with his warning. It infuriated him to see one of these other versions of himself with the man who he had once called the closest thing to a lover. While Viltrumite Mark knew that you weren't an object to own, his blood boiled to a fever pitch. "He doesn't belong to you." The viltrumite spat.

Maskless Mark's head whipped around as he was struck with a mixture of things at once. Fear, anger, possessiveness, but most of all Maskless Mark wanted nothing more than to simply protect the man he loved. He wasn't going to let anyone raise a hand to him ever again. "He's mine." He snarled back, pushing you behind him with an arm outstretched. "I found him first."

The Viltrumite scoffed, taking another step forward. "He's not a possession, you fool. I know him better than you ever could."

Maskless Mark's features contorted with rage. He tensed, preparing to fight for what he believed was his. He'd given up everything just to be here, had lost so much, and now the only thing that mattered to him now as getting to have the person who he was currently shielding away from a reflection of himself. "You don't know anything about him." He huffed. "You don't know what he means to me, what we've been through together. I won't let you take him away from me!"

The two Marks faced off against one another, while not making their moves just yet, their eyes were locked in a fierce glare. The slightest flinch would've caused either of them to jump for each other's throats, ready to do just about anything for the one they laid claim to. All the while behind Maskless Mark, you still stood as the confrontation began to unfold as it left you between it all.
