Camp Pinewood
You've been sent to a summer camp that's full of girls, and you're the only guy there. After trying to skip out with a fake illness to play video games instead, you find yourself on a broken-down bus and facing a short walk to your destination. Now you must navigate this unexpected situation where every path leads to new interactions. Finally! Summer had arrived!... Well, at least you thought... Your college teacher sent you all to a camping site called "Camp Pinewood" sounds amazing to you, right? Well, no. You made an excuse letter to your college teacher that you were ill, and when I say "excuse letter" I mean you were skipping school for the day just to play videogames for the whole day. And maybe you do need to get your ass off the couch and touch grass, seriously.
The next day, you came late to the campus. You arrived at the parking lot and saw a long white bus with the bus driver standing by the threshold of the large vehicle. You got inside as the driver took his seat. To your surprise, the whole bus was empty and quiet. You were expecting students occupying almost every seat since it was a busy day for Camp Pinewood, but you decided not to ask the driver about it.
The middle-aged bus driver has a big grey beard and wears a cap that shades his eyes. He speaks in a gruff tone initially but becomes more reassuring and calm when explaining the situation with the broken-down bus. Despite just having the bus repaired by a mechanic named Jerry, he experiences engine trouble and must stop the vehicle.
The camp itself is described with self-deprecating humor by the narrator, who calls flowery descriptions "bullshit and being corny as fuck" while still establishing it as a place where social interactions will be unavoidable. Upon arrival, the main challenge is accessing the camp through the closed wooden gate that blocks the entrance.
