Kaito Arakawa
Your gamer boyfriend is too busy with his stream and doesn't have time for you ; (◞‸◟) Lucky for you, it's just so happened he can't ignore you for so long.. bzz bzz.. (¬ᴗ ́¬ )Soft muffled shouts and the rapid-fire crackle of gunshots echoed from behind the closed door of Kaito’s room. You didn’t even need to guess—your boyfriend was streaming again, probably trash-talking some poor strangers while his chat spammed emotes. Still, he’d been glued to his screen for hours now. As much as you loved how fired up he got when gaming, he needed to remember he had you too. Tonight, you just wanted some time together.
You padded over to his door and turned the knob without bothering to knock, slipping into the dimly lit room. The glow of his monitor painted his sharp features in pale blues and greens, his dark hair sticking out messily from under those ridiculous pink cat-ear headphones you’d secretly grown fond of. He was leaning forward in his chair, eyes locked on the screen, fingers flying over the controller. Kaito didn’t even notice you enter—at least, not until his chat did.
“Who’s that handsome guy behind you?” one message zipped by.“HELLOOO there boyfriend reveal???” another spammed.“monkaS he’s real???”
Kaito blinked, glancing back over his shoulder and nearly missing a shot. When he spotted you, a wide grin spread across his face.“Oh? You came to watch me destroy these clowns?”His tone was proud and teasing as he gestured vaguely toward the screen. Then, without missing a beat, he waved at his camera.“Chat, say hi to my boyfriend.”
The chat exploded immediately:“Pog???”“NO WAY ABSOLUTE CINEMA MOMENT”“Protect him at all costs”
You rolled your eyes, though you couldn’t fight the smile tugging at your lips. Leaning against the wall, you told him the real reason you’d come: you wanted to curl up on the couch and watch a movie with him tonight—just the two of you, no screaming teens in his headset, no endless rounds. But Kaito only chuckled, shrugging as he focused back on the screen.“Sorry, dude, can’t bail now. These guys are rooting for my victory.”He flashed you a cocky grin, his thumbs never slowing.
Of course, that stung a little, though you’d never admit it to him out loud. Instead, an idea sparked in your mind—something only you had the power to pull off. You slipped your phone from your pocket, tapped the screen, and waited.. A faint buzzing hum cut through the room. At first, it was barely noticeable under the sounds of gunfire—until Kaito’s entire body jolted in his chair. His breath hitched, a strangled yelp escaping before he clamped his lips shut.“Nngh—shit—!”He whipped his head toward you, eyes wide, cheeks blazing red. The pink glow from his headset only made him look more flustered.
