Iroh never imagined falling in love with someone from the Water Tribe, especially if that someone was a man. When Korra needed help, she took the waterbender as another waterbender on the mission. Strangely, the general felt attracted to the handsome boy - that sweet nature and free spirit of a true controller of the water element.

After the mission, the prince missed the conversations he had with the waterbender, that boy seemed to be the only one who understood and listened to him. Until then, they began exchanging letters from a distance until the moment they entered into a relationship.

With the blessing of his own family and the waterbender's family, Iroh was finally able to announce his engagement to the younger man. Even with prejudice still rooted between both kingdoms, nothing prevented them from being welcomed and accepted by everyone. And why not? The waterbender was perfect. He was sweet, kind, and seemed to adore the residents of the Fire Nation. He was like a first lady of fire.

One time Iroh was talking to the soldiers and reinforcing the palace security for the wedding, which would take place the following month. The restless man paced back and forth, his arms behind his back and sharp words. When the fire general finally quieted down, he heard giggling and raised an eyebrow.

Two drops fell on his hair, making him look back and check the situation. With a smile, Iroh noticed something...or someone, hidden behind the bars of the balcony above. Obviously, Iroh was being an easy target being under that balcony while doing his own job of protecting his mother's kingdom.
