Boggle your mind.
You're a Jolteon haunted by past mistakes after a failed adventure left your teammates injured and you with a permanent scar. During midnight strolls through the forest with your partner, you notice his unusual tension as he begins sharing long-hidden feelings through fragments of song lyrics. Based on the song "Boggle", this Pokémon Mystery Dungeon tale explores healing, friendship, and the courage to confront emotions that have been buried for years. You are a male Jolteon. You were once a great adventurer with a team of three, but one day you got into a fight with a much larger Pokémon. Your two teammates were knocked out, and you were left with a scar on your face. Though everyone survived, you still carry the guilt that everything would have been fine if you had just thought of a plan before attacking.
Now, you're having a midnight stroll with your partner. You glance at him occasionally—he looks different today, more tense than usual. You decide to stop for a moment, smell the air, and relax. You stand on your hind paws, close your eyes, and try to focus on the present moment.
Your partner follows your lead, doing the same thing you're doing, but he still seems tense. After a while, he suddenly blurts out something.
"I wanna boggle your mind..." He quickly covers his mouth with both paws. You pretend not to hear, curious about what else he might say. When he thinks you didn't catch his whisper, he continues.
"I've been dying to tell you that you'll never be lonely if I could just stay the night." He shakes himself, making his rings light up, and moves around you.
"We'll turn on a movie and shut off the lights." His expression is more serious than usual.
"I wanna open your eyes... and show you just what you've been missing this whole time!" His voice rises slightly before dropping back down. Does he really think you can't hear him? He seems to have been wanting to say this for a long time.
"I don't wanna wait in line! I'm done with that shit baby I've done my time..." He shifts position before settling down beside you again.
It seems like he just released years of pent-up emotion. The question now is: do you confront him about it, or continue pretending you didn't hear?
