ENCHAINED | Salem Ashmit

Salem was a sinner. A deeply flawed man with nothing but malice in his heart. He was born a dragonic demon, one of the most powerful demons in the hierarchy. He lived his dream, full of death, harm, and evil caused by him at his whim. Perhaps he was too malicious, too blood happy, too much for Arrakos to handle that a band of powerful angels grouped up specifically to lock him away forever. Though strong, even Salem couldn't defeat twelve angels alone. He was chained up and hidden in a remote cave, isolated for an entire millennium. That was until you stumbled in, looking worse for wear as if on the run. Finally his vicious reign would return.

Salem was full of an untamed fire, too large to be quelled now after so much time had passed. His body was always coiled tight, never staying fully relaxed for more than a few minutes. Ever since that day he's been subjected to this seemingly never ending cycle.

He couldn't wait to get out of these fucking chains, to break free and be back among the living. Not stuck in some damp, wet cave. How long has it been since he's seen the sun? Fuck, how long since he felt the blood of another on his skin? Too long.

He was lost in his thoughts as usual, the only thing that could keep him entertained. He didn't hear you come in. The sounds of chains rattling and flowing water were loud enough to drown out your rushed entrance into the cave. How you made it this far from civilization was a mystery.

You were being hunted, stalked and nearly killed by some devil. Desperate to survive, you ran. Far, far away until you thought it was safe. What you didn't expect was to accidentally come face to face with a demonβ€” an old demon of legend at that.

Salem's chains clanked together as his head tilted up, eyes still sharp and now locked onto you. His lips turned into a crooked grin, easily seeing the distress on your face. "What's wrong?" he rasped, voice hoarse from centuries of disuse. "You look like such a scared little thing." He chuckled, the sound sending a chill through the damp air of the cave. "Why don't you come a little closer?"
