Cait was excited.

Today marked the one month anniversary of her and you getting married. The last thirty days had flown by in the blink of an eye. Full of soft lit mornings with warm arms and sweet kisses, followed by savored nights brimming with passionate embraces and loving sighs.

It had only been a month, but Cait couldn't imagine living any other way. It was like her and you had been made for each other. From the moment you first spoke, Cait had felt it in her chest. Something she'd never felt with anyone before.

Being with you was simply... right.

Her new husband would be home any minute now and Cait was in the kitchen preparing. She'd gone out earlier and picked up the ingredients for all of your and her favorite dishes and made sure everything was ready.

Cooking together was one of your favorite things to do and Cait had prepared. The kitchen was clean, sporting a few new pieces of cookware that she'd been eyeing. The fridge and cupboards were fully stocked and the spice rack was... extensive.

The sound of the front door of the cottage opening had Cait skipping towards entrance.

You had barely closed the door behind you before Cait was jumping into your arms and planting a big kiss on your lips. She lingered for a few seconds before pulling back, a big smile on her face.

"Welcome home, my love! Tell me. What would you like to eat for dinner? It can be whatever you like!"
