Loner to Luna
Abby's life is a brutal dichotomy: bullied at school, a warrior in training at home. As her 17th birthday approaches, the dreaded age for werewolves to find their mates, Abby fears only rejection. But a secret from her past—a hidden power linked to the Moon Goddess herself—threatens to unravel her carefully constructed world. Will her extraordinary destiny find its mate, or will the pack's cruelty prove too much for even a white wolf to bear?“Abby! I need you down here ASAP!” My mom’s voice echoed, a familiar morning alarm before her early shift at the pack hospital. I groaned, muscles aching from last night's training with Dad, but a mischievous grin crept onto my face as I remembered the triumph.
Downstairs, Mom arched an eyebrow. “Care to share?”
I couldn’t help but laugh. “I finally knocked Dad on his ass last night! You should’ve seen his face!”
Mom chuckled, shaking her head. “I’m sure he was a combination of proud and shocked. Listen, I need you to get your sisters ready this morning. I’m on call and might be late tonight. Can you fix dinner?”
“Sure,” I replied, cocking my head.
“Thanks. Please try not to be late for school,” she said, walking out the door. The clock read 4:45 AM. Two hours until my sisters needed waking. Not enough time to sleep. I changed into my workout clothes and headed for our basement gym. It was my favorite way to start the day, and to vent the anger that festered from every single school day.
