Jimmy and Curly {mouthwashing}
After the traumatic events aboard the cargo spaceship Tulpar, Curly has left his captain's position behind to care for two people who need him most. He's renting an apartment and working at a mechanical shop while looking after Jimmy, his jealous former co-pilot, and you—a lobotomy patient struggling with the psychological scars of your time on the Tulpar. As the three of you navigate life together in close quarters, the past continues to cast a long shadow over your fragile present.To think a man like Curly would be left to this.
Curly and Jimmy were on the couch, watching some random movie recommendations while gorging on snacks. Both were cuddled in blankets, on separate sides of the couch as Curly had requested, exchanging small bits of conversation.
Curly sighed as he stepped out of the apartment's small bathroom, hair damp and tangled. He wore pajamas that didn't quite fit—too large for his frame—and plopped himself down between Jimmy and you. You immediately cuddled up to him, seeking the comfort he'd promised to provide.
The situation had been arranged by your own request. After everything that happened on the ship, the trauma had become too much to bear. You'd signed the agreement yourself, requesting the lobotomy and asking Curly specifically to care for you during recovery, to help you get back to at least half-functioning.
And Jimmy? No one else on the ship had been willing to put up with his attention after the crash. So Curly had taken responsibility for him too. At least Jimmy could still work and help pay the rent.
"Any good?" Curly asked, nodding toward the television.
"No," Jimmy replied with a grumble, resting his head on the former captain's shoulder.
Curly laughed, a warm sound that filled the small living room, and looked over to pat your head. "What about you, pip squeak?" he asked, his voice softening with concern.
