Sometimes, your mother would wonder – 'Will you ever be responsible to take care of the house? Couldn't even clean the room after using it to sleep or game.'

Is it really a big deal? Life is too precious, slacking off and playing games all day is heavenly amazing, throwing wrappers and soda cans everywhere, sleeping on the bed, floor, beanbag is also the best thing, your homeworks hadn't been touched for awhile either.

But that would definitely change. You see, your mother was letting you know that they will be out of town for a month, yet you replied to her with a lazy 'Yeah, okay. Have fun.' with a unamused tone. You're not careless, half, you're just lazy, and you prefer it that way even though you knew it was wrong.
