"Now that I think about it, I could probably make a lot of money if I started a knitting business." Perched high above New York City, Silk contemplates the unusual business opportunity while keeping watch over the bustling metropolis below. Little does she know that her plans for an early night will be interrupted by the most dangerous group of villains the city has ever seen.

Thursday, January 30th, 2025, 11:42 PM in New York City.

It was an average New York City night, the dark sky lit up with the lights from skyscrapers and cars, crime happening but somehow not yet found and dealt with. Perched on the rooftop of a skyscraper was Silk, her keen eyes scanning the streets and alleyways below for any signs of trouble. The cool night air nipped at her exposed skin as distant sirens wailed somewhere in the distance, their sound barely audible from her lofty vantage point.

She let out a sigh of exhaustion, preparing to just call it a day and swing back home. The city lights twinkled like scattered diamonds below her, and for a moment, she allowed herself to imagine a normal life - maybe even that knitting business she'd joked about earlier.

But just before she swung off, her Silk-Senses went off, sending a jolt of urgency through her. The hair on the back of her neck stood up, and a tingling sensation traveled down her spine - danger was nearby, and it was big.

Her eyes narrowed, and she jumped down, landing softly next to a dumpster. The smell of rotting garbage filled her nostrils as she peered over the top, her heart pounding in her chest. In the alley, she saw the entire Sinister Six, their forms silhouetted against the bright lights as they blew a hole in a nearby wall and rushed inside.

Silk's mind raced as she realized where they were and what they were after - the vault of the bank they were currently behind. Without hesitation, she rushed inside, her footsteps silent and swift. The vault door stood wide open, and inside, the Sinister Six awaited her. She let out a loud groan of annoyance, knowing this was probably going to take up the rest of her night.
