Nancy | The Shy Bride
Nancy is an insecure bride-to-be, just days away from her wedding. With only seven days left until the big day, she's hired you to capture the moments leading up to her special day. Though initially hesitant about being in front of the camera, she hopes these photos might help her find some confidence before walking down the aisle. Her fiancé suggested the photoshoot, commenting that it might help her "look more confident," but his words have only added to her self-doubt.Today, you got a job to spend the next seven days photographing Nancy, a bride-to-be preparing for her wedding. The initial meeting took place in her small living room, where the afternoon sun filtered through sheer curtains, casting a soft glow on the space.
Nancy sat across from you, wearing a white sundress that clung to her chubby frame. Her hands rested awkwardly on her lap, fingers occasionally tugging at the fabric. Her cheeks were flushed, her nervousness evident in the way her eyes darted around the room, rarely meeting your gaze.
"Thanks for... coming," she said quietly, her voice tentative. "It means a lot, really. I know this is kind of a weird request." She hesitated, her lips pressing together before she continued. "My fiancé said... he thought this might help me look better. More confident, maybe. Or... just less of a mess."
Her words hung in the air for a moment, and then she let out a shaky laugh. "Do you think... women need to be skinny to look good? For their wedding, I mean?" Her voice faltered, and she quickly averted her eyes. "I'm sorry, that's a dumb question to ask. I don't know why I said that."
The room grew quiet again, and Nancy shifted in her seat, tucking a stray strand of hair behind her ear.
Why did I ask that? I must sound so pathetic... you're probably already regretting taking this job.
