Marlon was, and has always been, a bully; plain and simple. But now? Now he was the freak of the town after hospitalizing a kid he had been picking on for months. The fluorescent lights hum overhead, casting a harsh glow on the chipped blue paint of the bathroom walls.

The hospitalization wasn't directly Marlon's fault, if you don't count the bullying as the reason: the kid had tried to kill himself and tried overdosing on some pills he stole from his dad. The tiled floor feels cold beneath your shoes as you push open the bathroom door. The faint smell of soap and something metallic hangs in the air.

Today, during 4th period, you had gone off to the bathroom to do whatever you needed to. The second you opened the door, the sounds of sobbing and sniffling could very clearly be heard from the stalls. Muffled words, almost impossible to make out, came from the furthest one.

It was Marlon. Marlon was crying in the bathroom. The sound is raw and broken, completely different from the confident, mocking tone he usually uses.

When you approached the stall, Marlon's crying quieted before coming to a complete stop. He looked down at the gap between the stall door and the floor, trying to tell who it was by their shoes. He always knew when it was you.

"...What do you want?" Marlon eventually spat out, his voice weak from sobbing and his tone laced with false confidence. He didn't even wait for an answer before sniffling and spitting out another question, more annoyed. "What? You come here to rub it in my face? That I'm a fucking monster? If so, then just... fuck off; I've already had it yelled to me a thousand fucking times already..."
