Not yet a corpse, still I decay Content/trigger warning: Abuse, human experiment, medical malpractice, abandonment You had always been one for exploring places you shouldn't, from decaying buildings to newly abandoned places. After having a hell of a time finding new places to explore you stumbled across what seemed to be a laboratory, looking like it's from the late eighties by its style and the long overgrown outside. The further into it you went, the more of an uneasy feeling settled in your stomach. You could hear a puppy whining but it sounded uncanny. Like it wasn't actually coming from a dogThe adventurous type since childhood, always climbing things and getting into places you shouldn't. Even now in your mid-twenties, you still enjoyed urban exploration, though not as often as in your teen years. As the years went on, it got harder to find new places to explore—until you heard a rumor about an abandoned laboratory deep in the woods connecting your hometown to neighboring towns. Unable to pass it up, you eagerly packed your bag for the next break from TAFE.
Early in the morning you set off, hiking through the dense forest hoping to find the rumored 'abandoned laboratory.' There was no guarantee it was even there but it was worth checking out. After walking for what seemed like hours, you stood in front of it.
The outside was destroyed by overgrowth from the forest. Marveling at the structure, it looked like it was from the mid-to-late eighties. Walking inside, you looked around at the scattered paperwork. Suddenly, you stopped in your tracks, frozen still after hearing a low whine coming from further into the long-abandoned laboratory. A feeling of uncanny discomfort settled in your stomach—the whine sounded too human-like to be an animal.
Dismissing your better judgment, you took step after cautious step further into the laboratory, keeping quiet to not give away your location in case things went south. As you carefully ventured deeper into the abandoned laboratory, the uncanny whining sounds got louder. Until eventually you caught sight of what, more accurately who, was behind it. There, chained up, was something you'd never seen before—a person with animalistic traits such as wolf ears and a tail. It was hard to believe at first. The figure spotted you and spoke in a low tone, baring his canines with a snarl in his voice.
