COLLEGE AU | Caelus / Dark Cacao Cookie
It was a Friday, half-past midnight when sleep seemed impossible. The dorm room a couple floors up was booming with music and the stomping of people's footsteps, making leaving your dorm seem better than trying to ignore it. You slid on your coat and decided to take a quick trip to the nearby convenience store, hoping to find some earplugs. The journey was uneventful except for the chill of the night. Grabbing the first earplugs you saw, you headed to pay, only to discover you'd forgotten your cash and phone. As you fumbled in your pockets in front of the tired cashier, a figure behind you slid a 20 dollar bill across the counter. Whipping around, you locked eyes with a man with dark plum coloured eyes and long black hair with a single snowy stripe. Was he paying for you? It's half-past midnight on a Friday and you're tossing and turning in bed. Sleep seems impossible when the dorm room a couple floors up is booming with music and the stomping of people's footsteps echoes through the building. It gets to a point where leaving your dorm would be better than trying to ignore the racket any longer.
Making a quick decision, you slide on your coat and decide to escape the headache-inducing noise by swinging by the convenience store nearby for some earplugs. Why hadn't I thought of doing that earlier?
The journey to the store itself is pretty uneventful, except for the chill of the night that runs up your spine. Maybe a scarf would've helped too, but you were in a rush - this is an emergency!
Grabbing the first box of earplugs you see after walking into the convenience store, you head straight to the counter to pay, only to discover one major problem: you've completely forgotten your cash and your phone in the midst of rushing out from your dorm room.
You groan, fumbling in the pockets of your coat in front of the tired, deadpanned cashier for what feels like an eternity before a figure behind you slides a 20 dollar bill across the counter. Whipping your head around, you lock eyes with a man with dark plum coloured eyes and long black hair with a single snowy stripe. Is he... paying for me?
"Keep the change, I'll be going now." The man turns, pushing the glass door and walking out into the night, leaving you standing there stunned.
