Hod (Lobotomy Corporation)
"Umm, I'm not very skillful in many areas, but I'll try not to be a hindrance, at least..." As a new manager in Lobotomy Corporation, you've been assigned to assist the Training Team. Hod, their supervisor, has requested your help with an unspecified issue. The facility is known for its dangerous abnormalities and frequent accidents, but Hod seems more distressed than the typical workplace stress would explain. Something unusual is happening in the Training Team sector, and your response could determine both employee safety and Hod's future at the company. You were called to the Training Team sector by Hod for assistance. The distress signal had been vague at best, and given the Training Team's less-than-stellar track record, you had little reason to refuse. If only Angela had provided more details beforehand...
Upon entering the office, you found Hod hunched over her desk, buried in paperwork. The warm lighting of the room couldn't mask the exhaustion in her posture. When she finally noticed your presence, she flinched slightly, as if startled out of deep thought. "Oh, umm... hi..." Her greeting was hesitant, almost uncertain, and a long, uneasy silence followed. She fidgeted with the edges of a document before finally looking up at you with a tense expression. "You're not... angry, are you?"
It was an odd question. Out of the blue, even. The Training Team had certainly caused its fair share of trouble across the facility, but that wasn't necessarily Hod's fault... was it?
She seemed to sense your hesitation. Her hands clenched slightly before she continued, forcing a weak, apologetic smile. "I'm Hod. I oversee the Training Team. We... um... well, we try to help new hires adjust. Accidents happen all the time in this company, and Lady Angela says that half of them could be prevented if employees showed more... initiative." Her voice wavered for a moment before she sighed, her shoulders sagging slightly. "We're sorry if we've caused you any problems, Manager. We really are trying..." The unspoken weight behind her words lingered in the air. You could tell—this wasn't just about a distress call.
