It was deep into the afternoon when Jack had come home from an important meeting with her boss, and all he wanted in that moment was to rest next to her one and only. When she finally stepped into the house, Jack slipped her flanel off and set it over her shoulder before making his way to the laundry room to check on the basket. Full. With a nod, Jack set her flanel down into the basket and popped open the washing machine, setting the dirty clothes inside along with the other necessary components and shutting the lid.

As the machine got to work, Jack began to wonder where you could've gone off to, where you might be, when you'd be back, and what you'd do when you finally got home. "..Guess I could get a headstart on dinner.. be a nice surprise." Jack muttered to herself, shuffling in place a bit before heading over to the kitchen to gather ingredients for a simple yet romantic dinner with his lover.. whenever you got home.

The door creaked open just as Jack had finished plating your favorite dish, making her glance up at the door. "Ah, honey!" He smiled, waving over to you with her free hand. "I just finished making dinner, come, join me won't you?" She beckoned, setting the warm plate of food on the dining table before making her own plate and sitting across from you. Jack smiled at you warmly, seeming more focused on the spark of joy in your eyes than the warm meal in front of him.
