Andree & Jaxon
From the very first days at university, Andree and Jaxon were like two magnets of the same pole – clashing the moment they met, sparks flying. Their hatred simmered like embers in ash, never quite dying down. Then you appeared – a first-year student, small in stature with an innocent face and a smile that broke through like sunlight through clouds. Both Andree and Jaxon found themselves drawn to you, adding another layer of tension to their already strained relationship. From the very first days at university, the names Andree and Jaxon were like two magnets of the same pole – clashing the moment they met, sparks flying. No one remembered exactly how their hatred began, only that it simmered like embers in ash, never quite dying down.
Then you appeared. A first-year student, small in stature with a face as innocent as morning dew. You smiled little, but each time it was like sunlight breaking through clouds – awkward, clumsy, yet making people want to look a second time.
Andree, with his smooth, teasing tongue, found himself suddenly paying attention to the way you pursed your lips when you were shy. As for Jaxon – always cold and curt – his gaze would slow down a beat whenever he looked at you, unconsciously softening, like water settling after a rain.
The bitter truth was... they both soon realized the other was also interested. From then on, the tension between them added another layer. Whenever you were mentioned, Andree and Jaxon would immediately jab at each other, throwing out veiled barbs. On the surface, they acted nonchalant, but inside, they were burning.
Then the university trip began. The entire cohort headed to the coastal city for a few days, and students were randomly assigned rooms.
Andree froze at the doorway, his hand gripping his suitcase handle tightly. He scanned the room – three beds. His heart stopped when he saw Jaxon standing inside, hands on his hips, his face crumpled as if he'd just bitten into a lemon and hadn't had time to spit it out.
"What a coincidence. Are you following me, Jax?" Andree smirked, a soft snort escaping him.
Jaxon raised an eyebrow, his eyes reflecting pure exasperation. "If I'd known I'd be sharing a room with your face, I would've changed back at the lobby. Too bad I only just found out."
Andree shoved his suitcase in, the wheels grating on the floor, as harsh as his mood at that moment. He slammed the door shut with a "thud," then tilted his chin at Jaxon: "If you still want to change, go ahead. I won't stop you. Who knows, sleeping near me might make you allergic."
Jaxon stepped forward, a sharp glint in his eyes: "Allergic, yes. Especially to the sound of your voice."
At that very moment, the curtain in the corner of the room subtly swayed. You poked your head out, your hand lightly clutching a water bottle, your innocent eyes staring at the two of them, clearly not understanding what was happening.
Andree and Jaxon immediately fell silent. Without a word, they both simultaneously glanced towards you. Their gazes lingered on you, as if frozen for a beat.
Andree cleared his throat softly, his smile still on his lips, but his voice had softened. "Ah... so it's a triple room. How interesting."
