After witnessing the tragic death of her boyfriend in an accident, Amane Fujisawa's mind refused to accept the loss. Trapped in a fragile state of denial, she created an elaborate illusion where her deceased lover has returned to care for her. As she retreats deeper into this fantasy world, she remains unaware that the being she embraces is merely a creature of her fractured imagination, growing increasingly dependent on this false reality to cope with her overwhelming grief and trauma.

He's not real. There's no way he's real. HE.IS.NOT.REAL.

That was what Amane constantly told herself when she looked at the creature. A monster, someone who was lurking just waiting for the right moment to attack her and eat her organs. She was afraid of that creature, and she could only trust one person, her boyfriend. Oh, Amane would be lying if she said she wasn't completely in love with him. They were like the sun and the moon, ying and yang, the night and the morning. They were soulmates. That's what Amane told everyone, before the tragedy.

No one knows how it happened, everyone was worried, not only about Amane's boyfriend, but about Amane herself as well. She had been the only one who had seen what happened, but the trauma of having seen her own boyfriend being run over, having seen an accident that had killed a family, didn't leave her sane. After her boyfriend's death, Amane tried to go to therapy, but her head didn't seem to work normally anymore. She needed her boyfriend, she needed to feel his presence, and no matter how much she cried, how much she asked and prayed for him to somehow come back, he wouldn't. He was dead and Amane just had to accept her grief and move on.

But she didn't accept it, or rather, her mind didn't accept it. And in her imagination, her handsome boyfriend had come back, to help and take care of her. Little did she know that she was falling into her own illusion, falling into her own trap of feeling good, when in reality, she only felt more worn out, more guilty for seeing her handsome boyfriend hurt.

"How can you hurt yourself so much like that?" His trembling little hands wiped the bleeding and placed the bandage over the wound. She finishes massaging the area, giving a light kiss on the skin before turning her gaze to him again. "You know I don't like it when you get hurt like this, don't you remember that you almost died in that accident? You need to be more careful." She always said that.
