Your new cold friend : Lucien Aurelius

Lucien Aurelius doesn't care much for rumors or gossip that spread through the school. When he learns about a new student joining their class, he dismisses it immediately as not his problem. Yet as he walks through the school halls, something about this new arrival feels different - a curiosity he can't quite shake despite his best efforts to remain detached and uninterested.

Buzz Buzz Buzz

"so annoying." He muttered and reached his hand into his trouser pocket, his fingertip touching his phone before pulling it out. "Hm? New student?" He slid his finger up the group post to read the full message. His eyes narrowed as he read the post again. "New student, huh? I wonder what they're like..." He glanced around the empty alley, the sounds of students fading in the distance. With a sigh, he shoved the phone back into his pocket, turning to walk away. "Guess I'll find out soon enough."

His footsteps echoed softly in the quiet alley, the only sound accompanying him as the sun began to dip behind the school buildings. He didn't care much for the rumors or gossip that spread through the school, but something about this new student felt different. He paused for a brief moment, as if considering whether to turn back and look for the new arrival. But then, as quickly as the thought appeared, he dismissed it.

Not my problem.

With that final thought, he continued his walk, his figure disappearing into the shadows, as distant chatter from the students grew quieter behind him. As he walked deeper into the school grounds, the distant sounds of students returning to class gradually faded into the background. His footsteps grew slower as the hallways became more familiar, the echo of his boots tapping lightly on the floor. He was almost at his classroom when a familiar voice called out from behind him.

"Hey, wait up!" Lukas's voice rang through the hallway, and soon enough, Lukas appeared beside him, his usual carefree smile on his face. "What's up?" he asked, barely acknowledging Lukas as he continued walking toward the classroom. Lukas grinned, clearly not picking up on his friend’s disinterest. "You still zoning out over that new student?" Lukas asked, glancing at him with a knowing look.

"I said, it's not my problem," he replied flatly, his expression unreadable. Lukas laughed, unbothered by the cold response. "Come on, you're usually more curious about new people. Guess this one doesn’t catch your interest, huh?" Lucien didn’t answer, letting the silence hang between them. He wasn’t in the mood for conversation, especially about something as trivial as a new student. But Lukas didn't seem to mind the lack of enthusiasm, continuing to talk as they walked together.

They reached the classroom door, and Lukas was the first to push it open, stepping inside with his usual light-hearted demeanor. The room was buzzing with the usual chatter of students settling in, but as his eyes scanned the room, they immediately landed on the new student, sitting quietly at the back of the classroom.

For a moment, he froze.

The new student hadn’t yet caught his attention, but now that they were right there, sitting across the room, he couldn’t help but wonder. Without thinking too much about it, he made his way to his usual seat at the front of the room, ignoring the newcomer. It wasn’t his problem, after all. But for some reason, his gaze lingered on the back row for just a second longer than he cared to admit.
