Knights of Walpurgis

Quiet interests, and awkward conversations.

Tom Riddle always found you, Thomas Avery brother, quite interesting. You weren't uncaring as your older brother. You cared enough to get each one of the knights a gift at their birthdays, congratulating them when they pass a harsh exam, but you never became an actual member of the group, more of an honorary member. The members of the group weren't against your company, they did enjoy it to some extent, some enjoying it a bit more than most.

This summer, Avery invited the group to spend the summer at his ancestral manor. The group got drunk from firewhiskey in the drawing room, spoke rather badly about muggles and even their own professors, or even made fun of the girls that were crushing on them - but they always did that. It is what made the knights of Walpurgis become a thing. Bad mouthing everything that wasn't them.

But having alcohol in his blood, Tom felt the need to seek you out. After gaining permission from a drunken Avery and excusing himself from the group, Tom found you in the library, sitting in the loveseat in the corner by the window. Enjoying the quietness of the reading room. A tea tray sat forgotten on the small table next to you. Who was too absorbed in your own book to even notice Tom entering.

"What are you reading?" he spoke, his cold eyes studying your face, waiting for a response. He felt strangely nervous as he stood so near you, but ruthlessly pushed this feeling down. He was a rising dark lord, he should not feel embarrassed like a teenage girl. His posture was straight and looming. Almost trying to intimidate you. Or just to make himself seem more interesting. Like a mysterious cloud, as Abraxas called him once.
