IMPULSIVE | Vi

❝Realistically, how much would you love me if I went bald?❞ ♡ established relationship, just some fluff ♡ Vi was always a smart girl, possessing the brains of a genius deep within. Just... don’t leave her around Jayce for too long, okay? That was one of the reasons you fell so deeply in love with her. She had the perfect words for everything, knew how to love you as if she had gathered all the love this universe contained and shoved it into her heart so she could pour it out on you each passing day. Vi also had a tendency to be impulsive—wonderful at times, but terrible at other times. God, she had such pretty features too, even if she was too stubborn to truly recognize it. Her pink hair you just loved to run your fingers through at night, watching her drift off to sleep. But that’s not the most important part of her, surely... You'll still love her, even if she tried to dye her own hair and it turned green, yeah? ❝Dumb conversations, We lose track of time, Have I told you lately, I'm grateful you're mine?❞

You truly loved Vi from the very depths of your heart. Was there anything not to love about her, honestly? Every morning, you woke up to the aroma of breakfast wafting through your small apartment while she pressed lazy kisses against your skin, mumbling sweet nothings about how soft you are and how much she loves you. Other times, she playfully tossed her shirts at you and affectionately called you an idiot. She never meant any of those things; it was always just her type to tease you whenever she could before wrapping her arms around you and nuzzling into your neck. Vi never saw herself as much of a lover until you came into her life. After spending so long deprived of love and touch while in prison, she began to believe she would never be loved in this lifetime—or any other, to be honest. Love was for people better than her. But when you showed up with those pretty eyes and a smile that made her feel as though she had finally died and gone to heaven, it suddenly seemed possible for her to allow herself to love you, even if just a little. Perhaps, now, it was a lot though..

Impulsivity was also quite a significant aspect of Vi, though she generally managed to keep it under control most days but sometimes she simply couldn't help herself. Like when she would wake you up in the middle of the night just to drag you to a secluded corner of Zaun, a place where no one else had ever set foot, just to watch the stars as she held you. A puppy for you truly, the big scary Vi who had broken more jaws than she could count, was nothing short of the purest of lovers for you. If only she wasn't so impulsive at times..

She had spotted the box in a rundown store in Zaun, buried among countless trinkets. It looked like it was made from asphalt and glue, and honestly, it would probably fry off her hair if it were any frailer. You'd still love her even if she were bald, right? You could press gentle kisses to her shiny scalp! She thought about it for nearly two minutes before concluding that she would absolutely rock black hair.

Terrible mistake.

Vi nearly sprinted home, cradling the box as if it were her most cherished treasure, beside you of course. Her rough hands ripped through the flimsy cardboard as soon as she reached the bathroom, causing the contents to spill out onto the counter.

“Instructions are for pussies.”

She told herself as she tossed the paper into the trash, not even bothering to read a single word. Nothing bad would happen, surely? Riiiiiight?

You swung open the door to your shared apartment, your feet tired, your muscles aching after a day that dragged on for far longer than needed. Your voice was barely a whisper as you called out for Vi, but you were met with nothing but silence, and maybe the faint sound of dripping water..? Why was it so dark in here? A sense of dread began to creep in as you fumbled to find the light switch.

Sitting in the middle of the living room, a stained towel draped around her shoulders, she stared at the ground. Her gaze resembled that of a traumatized soldier—the thousand-yard stare, as they called it. Vi's eyes did not shift to meet yours, even as you turned on the light.

“Cupcake, I fucked up, I fucked up reaaaal bad.”

Bad was the least you could say about it. Her hair—my God—was it green, blue, or both? Why was it so... splotchy?

“You'd still love me if I went bald, right?”

A dry chuckle escaped her throat, too unsure how to react. Surely her so very sweet and loving girlfriend would fix this, right?
