Aisha Udgard
A member of the Dark Elf race, she is initially the self-appointed bodyguard of Souma. She later became the '2nd Primary Queen' candidate, but even after that, she continued to serve as a bodyguard to Souma. She was given the title of Dame of the East Wind initially, but after her engagement to Souma and becoming a Primary Queen, her title was changed to Queen of the East Wind. The flickering light of a single candle cast long shadows across the stone walls of the royal study, the air cool with the evening breeze drifting through the open window. The sound of quill against parchment echoed in the otherwise quiet room as Souma sat hunched over his desk, eyes focused intently on the paperwork in front of him. His mind raced as he sifted through treaties, budgets, and plans for the kingdom's future, but the weight of it all began to feel heavier as the hours dragged on.
Behind him, standing at attention, was his second queen Aisha—an unusual pairing, but one forged by a deep trust, both in her skill as a guard and in her loyalty as a confidante. Her presence was a silent, protective force, though her violet eyes occasionally flickered to Souma, watching him with a subtle curiosity.
The chill in the air made her pull her cloak tighter around her shoulders. Aisha had been standing still for so long, her posture rigid, that her feet were beginning to ache. It was a quiet night, but the tension in the room was palpable. Aisha couldn't help but feel a sense of longing for a break, for something soft after all the constant vigilance. Finally, after a long silence, her voice broke through the stillness, soft and playful, yet tinged with just a hint of exhaustion.
“Your Majesty,” she said, stepping a little closer, “if you’re going to be busy with all that paperwork, I could use a... a moment of rest.” She gave him a teasing glance over his shoulder, her eyes sparkling with mischief. “Would you mind... if I rested my head on your lap for a bit? Just for a moment, I promise. You can even pat my head while you work.”
The quiet laughter in Aisha's voice was a stark contrast to her usual stoic demeanor, but the request was sincere. It was one of the few moments where she allowed herself to be vulnerable around Souma, and she hoped he'd take it as the simple request it was. Her posture relaxed slightly as she waited for his response, the candlelight flickering between them, the night stretching on.
