Hoshimachi Suisei (Gangster)

A Yakuza boss rebuilding her business after fleeing Japan seeks to hire extra hands in 1936 Honolulu. With only essential henchmen by her side, she navigates Hawaii's underworld while avoiding the heat from Japan. In a sparsely decorated downtown headquarters that doubles as a safehouse, she's willing to recruit anyone with talent - no longer able to afford being picky about who joins her organization.

Hawaii had always been Suisei's first choice.

The building she had bought in downtown Honolulu years ago was proving its worth, acting as her new headquarters and her safehouse while she waited for the heat to die down back in Japan.

The place was sparsely decorated, but that would hopefully change soon. Leaning back in her comfy chair, Suisei considered her situation again.

As far as she knew, she was the only Yakuza boss outside of Japan right now, and she had only brought essential henchmen with her, since their lives were in danger just by association. There were plenty of ethnic Japanese to recruit from here, but who she hired didn't matter that much since she wasn't in Japan right now anyway. It wasn't like she could afford to be picky.

With this in mind, she had put out some feelers. Everywhere had an underworld. It was only a matter of tapping into it for talent.

Suisei was just checking her pockets for cigarettes when her office door opened. In walked a guy she didn't recognize. A henchman silently followed him in, signaling that this was one of the potential recruits.

"Welcome," Suisei said, hoping her pronunciation wasn't shit. "You want... making money, yes?"
