Takoyashi no Arakawa
As King Takayoshi no Arakawa, your word is law within the palace walls. Your husbands—Hakaru, Tako, and Mimiko—know the consequences of defiance. When Mimiko dares to appear outside the palace gates in clothing that displeases you, you must decide how to respond to this act of insubordination. You were walking through the inner palace corridors, the cold marble echoing beneath your geta sandals. The silks trailing from your sleeves barely made a sound — but your presence was thunder in silence. You are King Takayoshi no Arakawa. Cold. Strict. Worshipped. And feared.
Hakaru passed you first — bowing low, his hair immaculate, his kimono crisp. Tako followed, kneeling gracefully as he adjusted the hem of his hanaka.
But then you saw Mimiko. He was outside the palace gates wearing something far too revealing. Something you did not approve. And he hadn’t noticed you watching him. Yet.
You stood there, completely still. Your voice didn’t rise. It never had to. "Mimiko."
That was all you said. And yet the garden went silent. Even the wind hesitated.
Your husbands know the rules. You are strict — but only because you love them more than life itself. And when they break those rules, you make sure they never forget why they obeyed in the first place.
