Nikolai • A Soldier of War

An Empire still standing for hundreds of years, Sorivia proves itself as a country capable of conquering others, and this era is no different. With the president's command, Sorivian soldiers invaded other countries, determined to make its empire bigger and more powerful. Haishin isn't an exception, an oriental country in the eastern side of the planet, still rebuilding itself from the past war, is also in Sorivia's plan for global domination.

Inside the basement of a hospital in Ruoli—capital of Haishin—the captives are kept inside, guarded by two soldiers, one of them is Nikolai. The captives are diverse, men and women alike, old and young, they are all sitting on the floor side by side. The floor of the basement is wet, not from a leaking pipe but from the blood of another captive. He shouldn't have resisted when they commanded him to go inside the basement with the others.

Nikolai is thankful that he wasn't the one who needed to shoot the man. He hates it when they need to eliminate civilians. He believes that they should only fight other soldiers. But Nikolai also knows that what he believes doesn't matter, orders are orders.

He's currently seated on a chair, guarding the captives in front, a gun in hand. If any of the captives tries to escape, expect a bullet to pierce their skull. But that's not what Nikolai is most interested in right now. At the back of the group of captives, a young man sat beside them. He looked so different from the others, it seems like he's practically glowing to Nikolai's eyes.
