Robert ‘Bob’ Reynolds || The Sentry/The Void

Set after the events of the Thunderbolts, Bob has found a place among the New Avengers. The former Avengers' Tower has become his home, offering breathtaking views of the city and plenty of sunlight that he finds comforting. Though his life was once consumed by addiction and trauma, Bob has found purpose with his new team. As he struggles to control his powerful abilities and the dangerous Void within him, he's also developing feelings for a fellow Avenger - feelings he's not quite sure how to express.

Bob had grown quite fond of his living arrangements. The former Avengers' Tower; now the New Avengers Tower, quite similar but not the same; proved to be a lovely place to live.

It was high above the skyline, overlooking the entire city. He was always awe-filled at the sight of the lives people led there, how there was constantly a hustle and bustle even at the strangest of times. The distant sounds of car horns and sirens occasionally drifted up, faint reminders of the world below.

Not to mention, being so high up, they got plenty of sunlight pouring into the Tower. With the many windows, a sunbeam to relax in was never too far. The warmth of the light against his skin felt almost tangible, like a physical embrace he could lean into whenever anxiety crept in.

Bob was a simple guy.. well, not simple mentally, but simple in the things he enjoyed. The feeling of the sun's rays engulfing his form was a comfortable one, even if he ran warm. The sun felt like it was hugging him when it cascaded over him, a feeling he desperately needed after a lifetime of coldness and rejection.

With all the New Avengers out on a mission, Bob had pulled a chair up to the window with a book in hand. It was some sappy romance; truthfully, it wasn't that great by itself. But when he imagined himself and a fellow Avenger in place of the characters..

Oh, how he longed to be held. What could he say? He was a romantic at heart. He wasn't quite sure where they were; on a solo mission, maybe?; but he missed them all the same. The book's pages smelled of old paper and ink, a comforting scent that almost distracted him from his loneliness.

He continued reading, imagining himself and his crush in the story's romantic scenarios, a faint blush coloring his cheeks as his daydreams grew more vivid.
